Hey Friends,
It’s been a while since my last email. Sorry about that. Life has been full. Good… but full.
A few highlights from the last couple of months.
The biggest highlight was going back to the UK to meet my first nephew, Amari. I hadn’t been back to London since before covid, so it felt special to reconnect with brothers, family and old friends. Proper hugs. Proper catch-ups. My heart was full.
I also spent time in Granada and fell hard for Spain 🇪🇸. The food, the rhythm of life, late dinners, flamenco in tiny rooms… I didn’t realise how much I loved Spanish culture until I was in it.
I wasn’t only there for the tapas though.
I was visiting my amazing new team at the factory because we've been working on a product for the past six months. I can’t share details yet 🤫 but watch this space, I'm excited!!!
I wonder if you can guess what it is? 🥱🍫
Then I jumped on another plane to Austin, Texas, to MC the inaugural Calm Health Summit. Two days of research, partnerships, and real conversations. My personal highlight was meeting the 19th and 21st US Surgeon General, Dr Vivek Murthy. Calm CEO David Ko interviewed him for a live podcast during the event.
Dr Murthy was thoughtful. Grounded. No ego. He shared his “superpower”: “If I’ve got five minutes with you, I’m going to be fully present for those five minutes.”
I’m calling it radical presence. Simple, powerful, and a great reminder for how I want to show up as a dad, a friend, and a human. I wrote a post about it and I’ll share the podcast link when it’s out.
Most recently, I hosted a webinar for Calm called ‘Breaking the Stigma: Real Talk on Addiction, Recovery, and Support’. I interviewed Darren Waller, Tight End for the Miami Dolphins and mental health advocate, and Dr. Sarah Leitz, National Clinical Lead for Harm Reduction and Addiction Medicine at Kaiser Permanente.
We spoke about addiction and the need to reduce stigma so people can get help sooner. Darren’s openness about his own journey was incredibly moving, and it brought up a lot for me. He spoke about recovery, resilience, and the power of community. It was one of those conversations that sticks with you long after the cameras stop rolling.
Since I’d been away from my darling daughter Ziggy so much, I took her to Bali for a week. Just the two of us. We had the best time until the final day when food poisoning hit. Hotel doctor, 24 hours of misery, and somehow even more bonding. We were close before… nothing like a shared bathroom to make you teammates for life.
Too much information?
I’m going to be honest. I’m so tired of planes. It sounds a lot of fun... but my 51-year-old, six-foot-eight frame is not built for this many long hauls. I’m excited to stay put for a bit, soak up the Sydney summer, and spend more time in the ocean. Nervous systems love salt water.
I’ve also been working on my app. It will be in the App Store soon. Meditations, courses, community, all in one place. My premium subscribers will be getting access first, and then I'll roll it out once I know it's working perfectly.
Thanks for reading and for being here with me through the busy seasons and the quiet ones. I’m grateful for this community.
Much love,
Chibs 💙
A quick favour.
I’ve had a lot of lovely 5-star Google reviews, so thank you to everyone that has taken the time to search me up and rate me. And then someone pointed out that I'd probably get a lot more if I let people know how to rate me! So, if any of my courses, or workshops, or guided meditations, or online content has helped you, I’d really appreciate a 5-star rating. It should take about 15 seconds to do it! If you have an extra minute to leave a line or two as a review, even better, but the stars alone help a lot.
You can give me a rating here - https://g.page/chibsmeditation/review?rc
Thank you 🙏🏾😊💙

Something to help you sleep
One of my meditations quietly went viral this year and has now passed a million views. If your mind is busy at bedtime, try it tonight.
You can watch here: https://youtu.be/Cp-XEYkjvIU?si=oIqv0aF2PlCXosqc
It uses gentle breathwork, balanced breathing, and a full-body scan to activate the vagus nerve. There’s soft pink noise in the background that fades through the night to help your nervous system settle. No pressure to sleep. Just a safe space to rest.
Sweet dreams 😴💙
